About Stuart

Up

Stuart Reynolds has been playing flamenco guitar for many years.  By day he is a senior executive in waste management and by night he lets his hair down and immerses himself in the passionate chords and rhythms of Andalucía!

He originally studied classical guitar and appeared at the Cheltenham Festival.  But he has thrown away his classical origins for the flamenco bug!

Stuart studied flamenco locally with Allan Ward and Steve Homes. He has also studied in Spain with Paco Serrano of Cordoba.

His numerous appearances include several Espiritú Flamenco shows, at the Arts Centre, the Theatre Royal Studio Theatre, and the Maddermarket Theatre, Norwich, and Flamenco Happens shows at the Norwich Playhouse.  He has performed many times with local groups Fantasia Flamenca, Zambra, Nuevo Flamenco, and Mirada Flamenca.  He can be seen regularly playing at the Peña.  He plays for Debbie's dance classes, and has played for teachers Liz Lee, Julie Ward, Dixey Ruscelli and Juliet Aster.

Stuart is an excellent dancer's guitarist and an indispensable member of the musical backup team of any flamenco group. He also has a cajón which he plays with rhythm and gusto.  He has not earned his nickname of El Enchillada for nothing - watch out for his hidden heat and spice!
